A Visit to Poppy Barley

Poppy BarleyMy first visit to the Poppy Barley headquarters was at the 204 Park event a few weeks ago. Before stopping by, I already knew that I loved their custom made to measure footwear; but, being in their beautiful space got me really excited to come back to find the perfect summer shoe. And luckily I did! Poppy BarleyPoppy BarleyI stopped by and the lovely Erika walked me through the whole process…Poppy BarleyStep one was to measure my feet. The great thing about Poppy Barley is that the company forgoes traditional single “shoe sizes,” measuring the specifics of your foot in person or letting customers input up to five different measurements on its website. As you can imagine, this makes for a design that’s perfectly fitted, and crazy comfortable. I discovered I am basically a perfect 7 standard with my left foot being slightly longer than my right. Not able to get to Edmonton to get measured? All the steps are online to do it yourself! Poppy BarleyPoppy Barley Poppy BarleyPoppy BarleyThen the fun part of course…trying on all the size 7’s in store…One problem though: there’s just SO MANY! Poppy BarleyI even tried on one pair of boots…fall isn’t too far away right?

Poppy BarleyI finally settled on the strappy sandal I had been eyeing since my first visit.Poppy BarleyPoppy BarleyAnd they fit like a glove. The perfect summer sandal that will travel with me throughout all the upcoming honeymoon adventures.

Poppy Barley Poppy BarleyA big thank you to Poppy Barley and Erika for making my shoe shopping experience so lovely!

Maybe I will make the beautiful photo wall…Poppy Barley Poppy Barley Poppy BarleyGo now to their website to check out the Summer Sale!
