An Effortless Fall Tablescape

We all know the transition from summer to fall happens fast — especially this year! It seems like with a snap of my fingers the leaves turned yellow and the air became cooler! So, you know what that means…time to swap out those daisies on your table and bring the outdoor dinner parties in. I absolutely love hosting people at our house and there’s something really special about a fall gathering. That’s why when Wayfair asked me to share a fall inspired tablescape, I was quick to say yes!

Most of the time, I like to keep things simple. I believe that the ‘less is more’ approach goes a long way. And, I truly believe that anyone can host a memorable gathering! So on that note, here is my fall tablescape and some tips on how you can get the look!fall tablescapeEffortless Fall TablescapeNo white after Labour day?! Pffff!! For my fall table, I wanted to keep it light and airy, allowing me to instead focus on a whole lot of gorgeous textures. So bring on the white, I say!Effortless Fall TablescapeHaving a simple, white round table, I thought I would break it up with a really quick DIY’d table runner. All it is is a piece of kraft paper tacked underneath the table. It doesn’t get any easier than that!Effortless Fall TablescapeOn the runner, I added pillar candles in varying sizes, a bunch of greenery, twigs of rosemary and some custom messages for my guests! Feel free to write all over that kraft paper since it’ll just be recycled after your dinner party!

A simple white and grey turkish napkin separates the two plates and I bunched together some leaves and a whole lot of rosemary to place in the centre. Not only does it smell heavenly and very fall-esque, but it becomes an ideal place to pop on a name tag.

Feel free to switch up the rosemary to better suit your dish too! Thyme would be lovely!!Effortless Fall Tablescape Effortless Fall Tablescape Effortless Fall TablescapeYou really don’t need to be too fussy! As you can see here, I just sprinkled the twigs of rosemary around the pillars and called it a day.Effortless Fall TablescapeFor even more texture and added warmth (it is cooler after all!), I added some faux sheepskin to the chairs. This makes for a very cozy atmosphere and these sheepskins are a steal at Ikea, so not a worry if a guest makes a mess.

Which, just goes to show what a few small touches can do to create an overall atmosphere. Picturing this scene with candlelight, delicious food and amazing people makes me feel incredibly happy…and looking forward to all the upcoming dinner parties with friends and family!
