Macrame Hanging Planters with Made Social and Shop the Skinny

If you remember from my post a few months ago, I had a blast at my first Made Social Co. workshop when I got to make beautifully scented bath bombs at Pura Botanicals. Christine and Andrea are the best and I had such a wonderful time that I was eager to do it all again! Then my gal Justine noticed they were doing DIY macrame hanging planters with adorable little succulents, so she invited myself and Janna to come along. How could I say no?! Hanging planters plus Made Social and Shop the Skinny? Hell yes!

Held in Vacancy Hall and hosted by the lovely Erinn of Shop the Skinny, we got crafty right away knotting our rope and finding the perfect dimensions to hold our mini planter. Then we planted our succulents before diving into some yummy treats and taking some traditional confetti toss photos.made social and shop the skinny made social and shop the skinny made social and shop the skinny made social and shop the skinny made social and shop the skinny made social and shop the skinny made social and shop the skinnyI love that we each chose the different colours offered – reflects our personalities perfectly! And, I loved that I got to meet another fellow blogger Marisa from Stream and Stone! She joined us for the good ol confetti toss! I love meeting new people at events like these – it solidifies what a strong community of ladies we have here in Edmonton.made social and shop the skinny

A little more on Shop the Skinny: Erinn says…The Skinny is about having a strong desire to source and locate hip children’s clothing + products from really unique vendors all over the world, some small and growing to others large and popular, and bringing these brands back to my beautiful home, Canada. I want to share the latest and greatest; I want to share ‘the skinny’ with you.

I absolutely love Erinn – she is so driven, hard working and an incredible mom to 3 boys (twins in that mix!!). She’s heading out to Blogpodium this year too so I can’t wait to spend more time with her there!

And last but not least, here is my lovely macrame hanging planter…now to only find a permanent home for it once the renos are done upstairs! Thanks again to Christine and Andrea! Made Social Co. is my fave! xo
