Another month has passed since my last pregnancy post and I am now 24 weeks! Not a lot has changed except that I am feeling a lot more movement from the Mr. in there. The doctor said he is very active! lol. We also have our nursery design completed and have already started to purchase some of the larger items. I can’t wait for it all to come together. This belly is growing and I could not be happier!!
Here are some more details at 24 weeks:
Baby’s Size: An eggplant still…but as long as an ear of corn
Currently Feeling: Really good!! But I have had some setbacks in the swimming department so I feel like I’m losing a bit more of my energy and cardio. Just walking the dogs isn’t quite enough for me to feel like I am staying on top of things. My goal is to start again next week.
Food Cravings: Grapefruit is still a hit. I am also loving hot water with lemon, a bit of honey and ginger. Really comforting at night!
Food Disgusts: None whatsoever…I’d actually welcome some food aversions at the moment 😉 I think I will be going for seconds at the thanksgiving table this year…and extra pie? lol
Best New Developments: All the punches and kicks!! Oh my, the feeling is unreal!! And at this point they are really gentle and sweet. I know I’ll probably start cursing them in the middle of the night when they are bigger!
Worst New Developments: My back has started to hurt by the end of the day. I think I need to do some more bra shopping after the two I purchased seem to be adding to the back issues. Any favourites ladies?!?!
Currently Living In: My sweater vest has been the best layering piece so far over my fave maternity tops like this one. I’ve also started in on my cozy sweaters!
Excited For: The nursery! Oh, I found the perfect mid century modern dresser in Kelowna and it should be here in a couple of weeks!! Hooray!! I can’t wait to get it all together. Oh, and I am so looking forward to the baby shower in a few weeks…seeing all my favourite girls together is going to be so much fun!

Start buying nursing bras. Get really comfortable ones (no wires), since you will likely be sleeping in them. They will become your new best friend.
I did get a couple – no wires – and I feel like they are hurting my back, which is so strange!! I will have to problem solve that
