Project 2014

At the start of a new year I, along with the rest of the world, think about the months to come and the accomplishments I would hope to make. I’m the kind of person that has daily goals but it’s hard not to think big when January hits. Here are some of my goals for the year.

First and foremost: To Find Balance!! I am very thankful to be busy and to be doing creative and interesting things, and that I have creative and interesting people in my life. But time is hard to find. I want to find a good balance this year between work life, student life, blogging life and personal life. I think this will be my biggest challenge, but it is something I want to make a conscious effort of.

Ryan and I, along with our friends, love socializing with food and drink! In 2014, I want to cook with Ryan, make more of an effort to shop local and eat healthy.  And, I want to continue to discover new hidden gems in our city!

We have such a great space coming soon. A big goal is to finish our basement reno, especially the home office. We have knocked out a wall to create a big open room which will become our office/craft/creative space. I will be showing you the before photos soon but I can’t wait to show you the finished project. Having this new space will also allow me to finish our guest bedroom upstairs. So many design opportunities around the corner!

Besides going to more yoga classes, I want to stay active this year by riding my bike and exploring a passion I have had for a long time.

The majority of my best friends live in another city…I want more letters in our lives. I want to take more photos this year. Not only because I want this blog to be full of inspiring images, but because I want to capture more of the beauty in our day to day lives. And on a professional level, I want 2014 to have even more fun collaborations because that’s always where I feel most creative.

Nothing makes me more excited than starting to plan our wedding!! The amount of possibilities seems a little overwhelming at the moment but thats what makes it fun right? And on a completely different note, a goal of mine is to get a special tattoo. I never thought that would be something on my radar but I finally thought of something I loved completely.

 And yes, doing what makes my soul happy…
