Well, it has been exactly ONE month since we’ve moved in and I’m thrilled with how the upstairs renovation has gone so far (though it turns out, painting is not my favourite weekend activity lol). I wanted to share just one final update of this master bathroom before the final reveal, which should be happening within the next two weeks or so. No you cannot have more than that, I’m sorry! You’ll just have to wait! Now, I’m sure Janna won’t miss Ryan and I sneaking into her bathroom to shower…but I’ll truthfully be a little sad that I don’t get to check out her great product stash anymore. Seriously though, I can’t hide how crazy excited I am to have this space!!! (insert happy dance here). Alright, let’s take a look…
The subway tile is almost done – grout is the next step and we are doing a very soft, light grey. I didn’t want the grout lines to be too dark. The floor of the shower is next and we have those small, white honeycomb tiles coming in. I absolutely love the big 20″ by 20″ floor tiles that we chose that almost have a slight concrete meets marble look about them. Oh, and did I mention that Ryan and I installed a heating system underneath the tiles?? Warm feet here I come!
And how freaking beautiful are my Cedar & Moss sconces? All I need are some lightbulbs and I’m laughing – plus, we installed 5 LED pot lights so we will have great lighting in here which was really important to me. All the painting is done too – including the ceiling which was my least favourite – in Benjamin Moore’s Decorator’s White.
Still to do:
- Finish the tile and grout
- Install the vanity, pour the concrete top and install the sinks
- Install the faucets, tub & shower fixtures, as well as, insert the light in the shower
- Put up the huge glass shower doors
- Find a mirror that fits!!
- Hook up the freestanding tub
- Finish the baseboards, trim and new doors
- DECORATE & Add all the finishing touches!!! I still need a gorgeous shelf, hooks, turkish towels, and some art. Oh, and I’m on the hunt for a good bath mat!

ohmygosh those floor tiles! and i like the simplicity of the scones 😀 those heated floors are going to be SO heavenly come our frozen winters haha!
How will I ever go without heated floors afterwards? lol such a luxury but so worth it!!!
