Warm Wood Returns!

Remember back in January when we chatted about some new trends on the horizon? And I mentioned how warm woods would be coming back in a big way? Well with California and Scandinavian styles still trending hard, it’s no surprise that lighter tones have become the new go to. I’ve even noticed how much I’ve personally been gravitating to oaks and blonde woods (even though I do still love me some walnut!!). I’m really loving how light and soft they feel, and how easy they are to layer up. Warm woods look especially beautiful next to white walls or cabinetry, and look incredibly current with a pop of black. Wanna see some inspo?? Yeah, I thought so!

I think I’m surprising myself with how much I’m loving the lighter wood in the kitchen. But each of the designs above are so well done that I’m no longer visualizing those ugly blonde kitchen cabinets from the ’90’s! I just may be considering this route when we plan our Ravine House kitchen(!!!!!!) Now, I know we can’t all jump on this band wagon and change our whole house! But, if you want to dabble on the warmer side, here are some items you can easily incorporate in your decor. Mixing woods will work, trust me!
