Weekend Words: Imagine

I haven’t done a weekend words in forever! It’s funny how a series can start off really strong and then I almost feel like I lose interest…blogger block a little bit, I guess. Anyways, if you live in the Edmonton/Calgary areas, you’ve been experiencing insane weather! I can’t remember the last time I experienced rain in the middle of January. It is gorgeous and I absolutely love these temperatures, but it is deadly icy out there. I am that crazy person walking her dogs and screaming “SLOW!!” at the top of her lungs. My dogs may kill me before the end of the month lol

So a little update about me and what is happening in my busy world.

  • Yes, we bought the flip.
  • I have also started my next design course where I am learning CAD software and absolutely loving it. So far Sketch Up is so user friendly and easy to learn. I can’t wait to show you all some designs and I plan to use my new skills for the flip.
  • More wedding plans on the way and more posts about our progress. I am meeting with Janine at Fabloomosity soon, which is sooooo exciting! This stage of planning is where the fun starts! In fact, today I am taking my bestie Leanne (who is also engaged!) to Swept to get some more inspiration. I went last year and loved it (see the post here)
  • Staying on my taking risks plan in 2015, I also signed up for my first run. Now, it may only be a 10km in Canmore but that’s a big deal for me. I am not a good runner – really anything long distance is frightening and very intimidating to me. But I wanted to push myself and go outside of our comfort zones! It’s so important to do that in our lives! Having my friends support is awesome too; BUT, problem is, all the ladies I’m running with live in Calgary. It will definitely be hard to stay motivated! Does anyone have any tips?? LOL I may in trouble here…
  • I also checked off another movie on my list of Oscar contenders (trying to see as many as I can before I host a lil Oscar gathering). Ryan and I saw The Imitation Game and I was blown away. Alan Turing’s story is incredible in more than ways than one and Benedict Cumberbatch’s portrayal was both heartbreaking and triumphant. This quote stuck with me…Imagine

Happy weekend everyone! I hope it has been imaginative! 😉
